Belstaff was founded in 1924 by Harry Grosberg who specialised with an original product line of waterproof garments for both men and women. As a company, their initial claim to fame came with being the first company in the world to utilise a fabric in their designs that was both breathable and waterproof, the now famous ‘wax cotton’. The development of this ground breaking technology paved the way for the movement into creating protective wear for the motorcyclist; the arena from which Belstaff are now synonymous.
